Installation of Lock Boxes carries with it more liability and also requires the scheduling of a meeting with you or the homeowner to obtain the keys. Installation of Directional signs requires that I know which way some streets lead, where signs are or are not allowed, where the best spots are to place signs and also requires multiple stops and starts just to place the signs. These are services that are not currently available but I may plan on providing in the future.
The proper installation of the sign post is with the sign closer to the street than the post. The arm of the post will be pointing toward the street. If you desire it the other way around, or perhaps parallel to the house, simply state this as a special instruction. If the property is a condo or a townhouse, inform me of any specific information that I may need to know. Post will be installed as close to traffic-line-of-sight as possible. Maximum visibility is always the desired result.
Installation Service to Maryland or D.C. is not available and there are no plans to extend to these areas at this time. Service to Fredericksburg and surrounding areas is not currently available but I may provide service to this area in the future. Check this page later for any updates.

There are many reasons I do not use wooden posts. The first of which is the law concerning one who goes by the name of Miss Utility. The law concerning the digging of the ground is just that, Call Before You Dig. This is because the edge of the shovel going into the ground may slice any wires which are not buried deep enough in the ground. The metal posts used by VXEnvoy are secured in the ground by means of a stake (and not one that would taste good grilled :). As the stake is being driven in, its somewhat rounded tip simply 'pushes aside' any wires in its way. By the way, have you ever considered, even those of you who pay someone else to install the post, just who might be held accountable if, in the course of digging with a shovel, a wire or sprinkler system ever is damaged? Another reason against using woods posts is related to the first. When you dig and disturb the earth, the ground becomes very weak. This leads to many leaning posts, especially in time of heavy rain. On the contrary, the metal stake actually compacts the dirt around it as it is driven in, making it very solid and stable. Another reason for metal posts is their longevity. Wood posts need to be painted quite regularly. Even a freshly painted post might look completely worn out and pale at the end of a six month listing. I just removed a metal post that had been up for almost 12 months and it looked as good as the day it was installed. The down side of using metal posts is the cost. The posts are almost $700 for 10, whereas wood is less than 20% of that. All the benefits simply outweigh the cost. I think you would see a lot more metal posts if some of the other install companies were willing to put some money back into their business!
Those of you who have used other installers can attest to the fact that when you give control of your credit card numbers to someone else, bad things can happen! PayPal is nothing more than a completely secure 'online storage' of your credit card info. When you place an order, Paypal charges your card and sends me the money. I never need your credit card numbers or other info. You are in control of each and every payment. PayPal charges me a little more than other credit card processors do, but my clients peace of mind and the ease of use is well worth it.
No, I do not. But I have been asked this question so many times that I have made it my business to find a few vendors that I trust. *Signs by Tomorrow has seven locations throughout the Northern Virginia area. I have had nothing but good experiences with them and they can be found at www.signsbytomorrow.com *If you prefer to go with an online vendor, (and save a lot of dough), I recommend LOWEN.com. I have done repeated business with them and they have never let me down. (ask for April Ann ;]
First you must have a PayPal account. Type paypal.com into your browser and follow the instructions to sign up for a free personal account. Once you've done that, you can have your home computer remember your password to save time typing it in. Then, from the payment page of my website, click on the appropriate PayPal button. After logging in, remember to enter in your name, phone number and the address for install as well as any special instructions into the 'note-to-seller' box. Then click on the button that says 'Pay'. You are done! PayPal will send you an email confirming your payment and I think the charge on your credit card will show payment going to 'NVKW'
Agents work on weekends, why not installers? I do work weekends and therefore can make this guarantee no matter when you place the order :)

I do have some recommendations. If you plan on being an agent for 12 months or less, purchase poly signs because they are cheaper. No? Okay, if you plan on doing it for long, buy steel or aluminum as they are 100 times better. Most busy agents have good quality signs and consider it one of the best investments they have made. A typical sign is 24" wide by 30" tall with grommet holes at 17" on center. Yes I said grommets! If the sign maker charges extra for grommets, PAY the difference! (I think 17" on center is considered 'standard' by most sign makers). Don't put the words 'For Sale' on your sign, you may just want to do a rental. Pictures on signs is just a matter of personal preference. It obviously couldn't hurt if you look like Brad Pitt or Princess Di. FYI Make sure you put your phone number on the sign, not the number of your office (you want those calls coming directly to you!) One phone number, one web address, avoid email addresses on your sign. (who's gonna' write that down?!) And lastly, make sure you check with your broker to see what his/her requirements may be.

Excellent question, thanks for asking. Some may have heard bad things about PayPal. PayPal is owned by eBay and is the worlds largest online payment processor. As such, it takes extreme measures to be secure and privacy oriented. PAYPAL HAS NEVER BEEN COMPROMISED! Phishing has been the biggest source of complaints against PayPal. NEVER answer an email from PayPal stating that you need to update your information. Those emails are not from PayPal. When you click on a link in those emails, it will take you to a site that looks just like PayPal, and when you attempt to type in your info, IT IS BEING STOLEN AS YOU TYPE! Always login to PayPal by typing paypal.com into your browser address bar or by clicking on a Paypal button on a site you trust such as this one.
